Top Navigation and Maps Apps on Android in Russia: Q3 2025

In the third quarter of 2025, the top navigation and maps applications on the Android platform in Russia have shown varied performance trends. This analysis, based on data from Sensor Tower, provides insights into the weekly downloads and active users for these popular apps.

2GIS: Offline map & navigation saw a moderate fluctuation in weekly downloads, beginning at approximately 164K and peaking at nearly 200K towards the end of August. The app maintained a strong base of weekly active users, starting at around 17M and experiencing a slight decrease to approximately 16.6M by the end of September.

Yandex Maps and Navigator experienced consistent weekly downloads, mostly hovering around the 100K mark, with a noticeable peak at 125K in late August. The weekly active users fluctuated slightly, starting at about 31M and ending the quarter with around 29.5M active users.

Yandex Navigator showed a gradual decline in downloads over the quarter, beginning at approximately 97K and decreasing to about 71K by the end of September. The active user base also saw a decrease from around 16.5M to 15M.

GPS АнтиРадар (радар-детектор) recorded downloads starting at 37K and peaking at 45K, before declining to around 29K. Its active user count began at approximately 1.08M, reaching a peak of 1.25M mid-quarter, and then dropping to around 999K.

Speedometer: GPS Speedometer showed a steady decrease in downloads from 33K to about 12K. The active users also declined, dropping from 228K to around 114K by the end of the quarter.
